A Look at Brochure Printing Services

By Max Bellamy A brochure can be a wonderful promotional tool for a wide range of professionals, but getting them set up can be daunting. There are many brochure-printing services available that cater to both the amateur and professional. You can find them in a number of ways, including the phone book, the Internet, graphic design and advertising journals, or word of mouth. Some companies will provide typesetting, design, color separations (four-color process), color proofing and proofreading service, while other companies just provide the most basic color printing, folding and shipping. There are brochure-printing companies that will do everything for you; all you need is a clear idea of your brochures requirements and whether it is business, promotional or another application, and the brochure company will take it from start to finish. Brochure design can be a challenge, so you might consider working with the professional designer that many brochure-printing companies offer. Some companies even offer sales literature development assistance and strategic marketing plans. However if you do your own design, copy writing, typesetting and art placement, and use these services sparingly, you will save money. One thing to keep in mind if you choose to do so is that most basic brochure printing companies will warn you that they will not proof read your work, and that corrections cost extra. If you simply start at the beginning with a step-by-step review of your needs, many companies will walk you through the features and benefits of their products and services. Because there is so much competition, many services (such as shipping) are offered at a discount or even free. Furthermore, most brochure printing companies will provide their own customer service representative who will work closely with you to make sure your job runs smoothly and efficiently through the entire process, from pre-press to final distribution. You should investigate thoroughly each brochure printing company and the services they offer to make sure they meet your requirements. A well-designed brochure can work wonders, and are well worth the effort. Brochure Printing Info provides detailed information about cheap, color, and full color brochure printing services, and advice on finding a brochure printing company and quote. The Great Resurrection Debate

By Anthony Smith I watched a program the other night featuring the Resurrection. On this program were theologians, debating weather the Resurrection of Jesus was real or a spiritual vision. I wanted to answer all these men about their uncertainty of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We shall take scripture by scripture. 1st. Lets look at weather Jesus died or not. 1A. References; Mat 27:34-50 -
Mat.27:34-50. Crucifixion and death of the Lord Jesus. ( Mar.15:25-37; Luke 23:33-46; John 19:18-30). For the exposition, see John 19:18-30.
1. Mat 27:64 Command therefore that the sepulchre be made sure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say unto the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error shall be worse than the first. The chief priests and Pharisees knowing later that, Jesus actually did raise from the dead, put an order out that the story would be that, the disciples of Jesus bribed the Roman Guards and took the body. The chief priests and Pharisees, were afraid of the results of Jesus coming back to life. In Jewish records and here in Matthew 27:64, we see that, Yes, Jesus was dead. (Then Pilate commanded the body to be delivered.) Witnesses? 1. The Roman Centurion, what we would call a captain of the guard. Romans had no reason to lie about a Jew. For the Jews were under their control. Matthew 27:54. 2. Joseph of Arimathaea, A Rich man of Nobility, known of the Jews. Mat 27:58. 3. Mary Magdalene, a follower of Jesus. Mat 27:56. 4. Mary, The Mother of Jesus. Mat 27:56. 5. Pontius Pilate, The sixth Roman procurator of Judea. 6. Many women of Jerusalem. Mat 27:55. 7. The Priests, scribes, and elders of the Sanhedrin. Mat 27:41 8. Salome, Wife of Zebedee. There is no doubt that Jesus was killed on the Cross. History and even His unbelievers concur that the man Jesus was Dead.
The Life and death of Jesus is documented in records from the Roman Library, The Jewish Sanhedrin Records and even the Records of the Islamic Koran. The next question that was raised, Was Jesus buried in Joseph Arimathaeas tomb, or was He thrown into a pit of dead convicts outside the city wall? Yes, some of these theologians actually believe this. But Lets find out from witnesses. Qumran Text of Isaiah 53, Catholic Encyclopedia of 1908, Nicodemus Text, Church historian Eusebius of Caesarea (writing ca 325), The main body of Acta Pilati is in two sections, with an appendix, Descensus ad Infernosthe Harrowing of Hellthat does not exist in the Greek texts, and is a later addition to the Latin versions. The first (chapters ixi) contains the trial of Jesus based upon Luke 23. The second part (xiixvi)regards the Resurrection. In it, Leucius and Charinus, the two souls raised from the dead after the Crucifixion, relate to the Sanhedrin the circumstances of Our Lord's descent to Limbo. A literature of miracle-tale Romance developed around "Leucius Charinus" as author. The Harrowing of Hell episode depicts St Dismas accompanying Jesus in Hell, and the deliverance of the righteous Old Testament patriarchs. The writings of these men and many others are historical facts. Many writings of Jesus, Death, Burial and Resurrection are well documented by Historians and even some that didn't even believe in Jesus. So we see that Jesus, 1. Was Born. 2. Was Crucified. 3. Was buried in a tomb. Now lets talk about the Resurrection itself. Now the Resurrection of Jesus from the dead, is quite a controversial subject. Many prominent theologians believe that the sightings of Jesus were sightings of a visionary means. They believe that The disciples were so distraught, that they all imagined an apparition of Jesus, making it a spiritual encounter instead of a physical one. They do not take into account that the Bible tells us that Thomas actually, felt of Christ, that Jesus ate fish and was clothed. Their doubt stems from, Jesus being able to appear and disappear at will. From the meeting room that the disciples were in and the meetings of Jesus and the disciples on the road. (Ref. John 20:14-16, Mark15:40, Mark 15:47; Luke 24:10; John 20:14-18.) Mark 16:9 Now when Jesus was risen early the first day of the week, he appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom he had cast seven devils. The biggest reasoning for these theologians to doubt the physical Resurrection is in a single word; (appeared)which means,
To come into view: emerge, issue, loom, materialize, show. Idioms: make put in an appearance, meet the eye. To begin to appear or develop: arise, commence, dawn, emerge, originate. They have mistakenly confused these two words, appeared and apparition. The word apparition means; spiritualistic manifestation of a person or object in which a form not actually present is seen with such intensity that belief in its reality is created. The ancient and widespread belief in apparitions and ghosts (specters of dead persons) is based on the idea that the spirit of a man, or of any object, is endowed with volition and motion of its own. Mar 16:14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen.
Appearances; Mar 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
Mar 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. He appeared: Luke 24:36-43; John 20:19, John 20:20; 1Co 15:5 The Physical; Luke 24:39 Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have. Luke 24:41 And while they yet believed not for joy, and wondered, he said unto them, Have ye here any meat?
Luke 24:42 And they gave him a piece of a broiled fish, and of an honeycomb.
Luke 24:43 And he took it, and did eat before them. Acts; 10:41 1Co 15:5 And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:
In Mark 16:16 ; we see that Jesus, after His resurrection, gave the only two alternatives to Salvation, He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. We must understand that, Faith, is believing in the Birth, Ministry, Death, Resurrection and Assention of Christ. We must believe that the Bible is the ultimate truth. If we do not believe that Jesus rose from the Dead, our Faith is in vain. This is our Hope, Faith and future in Christ. We either believe or we don't. As For Me; I and My House shall serve the Lord. 1Co 15:16 -19; For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.
If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. ars Tempel of Spirit & Truth Ministries. http://www.ourchurch.com/member/a/arsmithsermons/ Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Anthony_Smith http://EzineArticles.com/?The-Great-Resurrection-Debate&id=143454 phentermine 37.5 online

The Deity Does Not Really Need Your Income...But The Church Would Love You to Think So

By Dennis Diehl Let's face it...God really doesn't need our literal money to make it in the world of humans. Ministers and Churches need our money, but God actually does just fine without it. Ministers need to be paid and churches need to be maintained, enlarged, adorned and air conditioned, but God simply does not personally need our money. He already "owns the cattle on a thousand hills, the wealth in every mine," so He's all set. Let's notice the ofte quoted, Old Testament fundraiser. In Malachi 3 we are often told and encouraged to believe that.... 7 "Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return? 8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings. 9 Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. 10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. 12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts." Never mind that this setting is during a time of Temple serving, animal killing, priest maintaining Hebrew history. Strange how the WAY the Deity tells the people to return to Him for their disobedience is to give Him 10% or more depending on what one does with the tithe for the widow and the festivals (kind of a Hebrew Xmas Club fund), He then PROMISES that this is such a deal. You give me your money and I will pour out even more blessings to you than you can possibly imagine. The problem is, this is not in practical fact the case, nor is it my real experience in having sincerely taught this verse as a reason why Christians should still practice Old Covenant Tithing. I certainly have never experienced a blessing that I simply did not have the room to contain. Oh I know, "you have air, water and a place to live don't you?" Come on, you know what I mean. The implication is that if you give, you will get back more than you can imagine. Apologists have labeled this return on your investment in religion, the priesthood, ministry and Church as everything from "you're kids are healthy aren't they?", to being a part of the great true and only wise Church. I have buried many children of good and sincere faithful tithe payers. It's a convoluted justification that ministers go through to skirt the issues of what we still "have to" do as Christians vs. what is now all "done away with." Simply put, anything that is icky like animal sacrifices, or inconvenient like not mixing your fabrics or letting your farm lie unplanted every seventh year, is not incumbent on the Christian. It is the things that no one wants to do that done away with. But tithing...uh uh...this is eternally a part of God's law and YOU simply MUST give it...IF you are REALLY converted. Churches have split wide open over whether one MUST tithe or merely give "as one is able, good measure and pressed down," as we read in the New Testament. This harmful and non tithe encouraging admonition to give as one is able, and not strictly tithe, is often countered with what Jesus is said to have said in the Gospels when controversey broke out over how the Pharisees tithed. They were accused of being picky and tithing of every little thing, like, mint, anise and cummin, whatever that means, but leaving the more important things undone like love and such. Well I am sure if you met a real Pharisee, and not the boogeyman Pharisees of the Gospels, you'd like them, but that's another story. It's funny how that either Jesus is said to have said after this, or someone at least thought it would be good to insert it in Jesus mouth..."these things ought you to have done...i.e. loved, but of course, not leave the other undone...Tithing. So here we see that we are to tithe or not tithe and give as best we can, depending. It's kinda like Jesus saying that "a man should leave his father and his mother and cleave unto his wife," but then Paul comes along and says, "I would that every man was like me, but if you marry, you have not sinned." Hmmm, so who do we believe. I bet Paul was not all that good looking so chalked up his lack of a partner to his righteous celibacy and not his general lack of appeal. At any rate, in some circles, "God loves a cheerful giver," or "God really loves, as does the local Church, a really cheerful tither." When pressed about whether a Christian simply MUST give tithes and nothing less, the minister often comes up with ideas like, "well, we are actually to keep not just the letter of the law (a strict 10%), but we are to keept the SPIRIT of the law, which of course is 10%+. This is what my former affiliation did when it said that one did not have to tithe, saw the income tank and then had to come up with a New Covenant, spirit of the law command. It didn't work. The Church crashed due to reckless theology and a complete lack of understanding of human nature. This would be proof positive that the Christian really understood the spirit of the law, which of course the Hebrews had no clue about and their books were only meant to be later hijacked by the Christian Church, reinterpreted and used to justify really crazy stuff in the name of Jesus, and the Corporation Sole. If it is one thing that fundamentalist and Evangelical Christians understand, it is that the Hebrews did not understand their own history or scriptures and needed the Christians to come along and tell them what it all really meant. The Church has gone through some great gyrations to do so and much of it is recorded in the New Testament. One of my personal favorites is Paul taking the story of Abraham, who he needs to make the father of not only the Hebrews but of all Gentiles, so he can hook the gentiles all up to the Hebrew promises and goodies, and turning it on its head. Note Galatians 3:16 "Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ." What a great line of reasoning. When it says "now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made," it was NOT talking about physical promises to Abraham and his descendents! (It was). Nooooooo, the word "seed" if you note is not plural, (it is, like "sheep"). Paul actually says, "see it doesn't say seeds, which is the plural of seed, soooooooooooooo we know this Old Testament account is actually referring to JESUS, and not the decendants of Abraham's seed! Whoa moma!! It is the same as Jesus saying "feed my sheep" and meaning there was only ONE to feed because He did not say "feed my sheeps." If I reasoned like that in any theology class that was worth anything, I'd flunk! Oh well, this is Paul and he gets to decide just what the Hebrew scripture really means so he can get the Gentiles in as family of Abraham and of course then ask them to send in their ten percent just like the OT guys did, since now you are part of the group that should not leave these things undone. Paul was good as making a scripture mean what it never meant, but that is a general Christian minister skill for far too many today as well. As long as it serves them well, why not...? I mean did not one minister in the past, who was against the old "top knott" hairdo of women say that the Bible says..."top knott come down?" Of course, in context, the verse said, "Let him in the top of the house top, not come down..." Oh well, "Judas went out and hanged himself...go though out and do like wise..." The topic of tithing and giving is a hot one Christian circles especially today where we see the excesses of various denominations and mega-churches. But even the small, no one ever heard of it, churches can abuse the membership with merciless appeals to various scriptures on giving and spiritual financial responsibilites of the Christian. Often based in guilt, shame and the fear not to give as others do, it often hurts sincere people who really believe that if they give, they will get much in return. Reality is that many if not most, give to their harm and the harm of their own personal family needs. On occasion someone might receive an unexpected "blessing" and of course, this is shown as proof that tithing "works." It does work for the minister, the Tele-Evangelist and the building fund elders, but for the giver, it often just leaves them feeling a bit more without and afraid to say anything about it. On occasion in my former affiliation found myself giving members help out of the third tithe widows account to help them buy food because they had given their tithe when they simply could not afford it. Going around in tithing circles if you ask me. Perhaps it would be better to simply say, "I give as I am able, good measure pressed down, if I can, and that's the best I can do. If you don't like it, I suggest, Mr. Theologian, you continue to convince me why "sheep" is singular, an obvious reference to Jesus in the Old Testament, and why it should have said "sheeps", if it only meant the decendents of Abraham!" Any minister that can convince you of the logic of THAT can certainly convince you that you MUST Tithe and prove that God will pour out more than you can contain for your trouble. You might also hear that IF you really are converted, you will give even more in the spirit and intent of the New Testament laws of tithing, which in fact do not exist. So often those that demand the giving are doing just fine and can come up with more than enough ways to spend your money on projects that will require more giving so they can come up with more projects that will require your continual giving, world without end. I was once going to put a sign out in front of my practice that said, "Monday is Clergy Day...ADD Ten Percent." I would have gotten know clergy clients, but I guarantee I would have had horns honking in approval all day long as weary tithers drove past. I am weary in seeing Churches and ministers pull money out of sincere people who in fear of not doing the right thing, or with guilt in not doing it all the time, or shame for not doing as they hear others are doing, and give what they have not got to their harm. Ministers tend to promote the tithers and tolerate the mere givers at times too. In many churches you can be a member, but will never be a "leader" unless you have a provable record of tithing as if your income is anyone's business. No, I say that if you simply have to give, stand your ground and GIVE AS YOU ARE ABLE. That's in the NEW Testament and doesn't accuse you of robbing the Deity if you don't give your strick tithe...at least and more if you are REALLY converted. God doesn't really personally need your money. Want To Be A Stronger Marketer? Work Your Marketing Muscles!

By Kevin P. Dervin You want to be more flexible? You have to stretch your muscles. Want to be physically stronger? You have to find a way to workout and build your muscles. Want to be a stronger marketer? Youve got to work your marketing muscles. Just as an athlete needs to workout to stay in shape, if you want to get stronger at marketing, you need to work your marketing muscles. So how do you work marketing muscles? 1. Read Regularly. There is no shortage of resources out there folks. Find them and begin consuming them. There are books and newsletters and resources all over the web. Dont get overwhelmed by the volume of resources available. Pick one and commit to consuming it. Schedule a time that works for you and sit down and read that resource. Even if you only find one or two good ideas, doesnt that make you a little bit stronger? 2. Find Avenues To Write. Writing might be the single most important skill for effective marketing. But Im not a good writer you say. Listen, you are a wealth of information about your business or industry, and writing is the key to sharing that information to attract business. Writing will also help you gain clarity about the value of your own services. Practice writing regularly. Articles, tip sheets, your web site content, newsletters, sales letters, and case studies are all examples of things to be writing. Do the best you can and consider an editor or copywriter to review it if youre worried about it being great. Youll get better, and stronger, with practice. 3. Increase Your Speaking Ability. Much like writing, speaking is one of the most powerful tools for developing attention, interest, trust and credibility with your potential audience. This is not just standing up in front of an audience to give a presentation, seminar, or workshop, although these are great strategies. Youve also got to be prepared to stand up and introduce yourself at networking meetings. Or more basically, you have to be prepared to answer that question, What do you do? Confidence in speaking comes with preparedness and practice. Ever been to a networking meeting when someone stands up for their introduction and starts out with, Um, Ok, lets see? Clearly not practiced and prepared. Spend time preparing for what you want to say when you introduce yourself and when someone ask, What do you do? Just like exercise, even scheduling just a few hours a week to work your marketing muscles will begin to make a difference. Before you know it, you might be a pretty strong marketer. New Leadership Skills a Must for Nurses Moving Into Decision Making Roles

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=U._Akinci] U. Akinci Nurses have always been at the front lines of the "healthcare battle field" more so than anybody else. They are the ones in close touch with patients and their families. They are the ones who are holding the pulse of the healthcare system on a day to day basis. Thus it is also natural that there is an increasing demand in the nursing community to have a more say in the formulation of healthcare policies as well as in the way the system itself is run and governed. In theory, this is a good thing too since no doubt it will bring much needed invaluable input from the trenches and make sure the best possible solutions reach those in direst need through the most efficient channels possible. Compared to the situation ten or twenty years ago, nurses today do participate in healthcare decision making in increasing numbers of course. There is no doubt about that. But, despite all the qualified undergraduate and master's nursing programs across the nation and many professional development programs, there is still long ways to go. The chief challenge and issue with the expanded participation of the nurses in decision making is that it involves nothing less than the very same leadership and management skills that the movers and shakers in any industry must possess. That is, when it comes to decision making, strategic planning and policy formulation, it is not enough just to be a highly qualified nurse well versed in medical technology and skills. One must also be, for example, an excellent coalition-builder in order to build common fronts with other governmental and non-governmental organizations in society in order to influence the decision making process. Basically, it is a political as much as a technical role. This new challenge will bring the best out of our nurses by creating new opportunities to exercise their natural leadership and management skills. U. Second Time Around the Block

By Skye Thomas Divorce happens. I'm not going to debate the causes or the moral and ethical implications of that here. Even if you're the innocent one who stuck to your vows and got dumped anyway, you still have to pick yourself up and move on. So let's start from that place. At some point you will wrestle within yourself and within your spiritual and religious beliefs as to whether or not you will date again. This article is for those of you who have decided that yes, you are going to date again and maybe even get married again. You've decided to give love a second chance. In order to improve your odds at succeeding, you need to consider your timing. If your goal is to find true love and to have a wonderful long-term relationship with someone, then for your new partner's sake you must have worked through your issues over the last one. You may be dying inside, feeling incredibly vulnerable, alone, and needy. That's the time when it's easiest to reach out clutching at the first person who comes along that looks like they might be a decent fit into your world. Those rebound relationships seldom work out. Even if through your pain and misery you did manage to pick the ideal mate for yourself, you are still going to have emotions around your old partner. The new partner has to endure watching you ache and hurt for a marriage that's over. If you truly loved your spouse, even if you're the one who asked for the divorce, then you're going to have feelings of remorse and a need to mourn what is dead and gone. Ideally, you wouldn't have married them in the first place if you didn't truly love them and you have to on some level have expected 'happily ever after.' Even if you stayed too long and had time to process through the emotions of wanting to leave, you still have a good chance of feeling like you've failed at something so incredibly important. It can be excruciating to fall madly in love with someone and have to postpone the 'honeymoon' stage of the relationship because your new love is processing through all of this stuff and really isn't able to completely submerge themselves into the beauty of falling in love with you. If you can't wait until after you've really healed from all of those little triggers and such that keep going off in your head and heart, then at least be honest with your new partner and let them know where you really are in the process. You owe them that much. Give your new partner the truth as to where you are mentally so they can make an informed decision about whether or not they want to enter into a full time one on one relationship with you at this moment in time. You don't have to be completely alone though either. Perhaps you could continue dating lightly as friends and they can be a wonderful source of inspiration and a great ego booster during your recovery. Then down the road when you've gotten yourself in a place where you can really open your eyes and your heart to completely focus on creating a new relationship, then you can make a commitment. I think the key here is being really clear with yourself as to where you are in the whole thing and also trusting your new partner enough to tell them the truth. When you do get to that place that you are able to really focus on someone else and you're truly ready to fall in love, then there's some other things to consider. It's only natural that each of our relationships shapes us and effects who we become on some level. How many of us have little quirks that arose due to past loves? Perhaps you were with someone abusive and now every time someone even raises their voice during an argument, red flags start going off and you start panicking. Perhaps you worked your tail off day and night to financially support a high maintenance princess and now you shutter every time your new girlfriend talks about needing more money to pay the utilities. Perhaps your partner forced you into sexual acts that weren't in your best interest and now you have some hang ups in the bedroom. These are all very natural and normal reactions. We are adaptable creatures that typically learn from our mistakes and try to not repeat bad circumstances. So why wouldn't we be cautious in the future? I'm simply suggesting that you sit with these thoughts for a while and make sure that you are not being unfair to your new partner. Are you punishing them for things that your ex did to you? Are you living your life as though the new person is exactly the same as the old one? Are you unconsciously creating a self-fulfilling prophecy and forcing your new partner to play out a role that your spouse played? Just look at these things and be aware. It can really make the difference between repeating another bad marriage and having a successful second chance at love. One last thought which is sort of the flip side to the one just mentioned. Sometimes we don't realize that we try to repeat the good things from our old relationship with the new partner. For example, taking them on the exact same romantic weekend and trying to relive the wonder of the first time with the first partner. Sometimes we don't realize that we make unfair comparisons, "Well my first wife always had my dinner on the table when I came home." "Well my first husband knew how to fix the car so that we didn't have to pay a mechanic to do it." Don't look to recreate the first marriage. Instead, remember that this is a unique and different relationship with a unique and different partner. Love them for who they are. What Is a Headache

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Low_Jeremy] Low Jeremy Statistics say that headache is one of the most common illnesses experienced by people not only in the United States but also of those who are living in different parts of the world. In fact, studies also show that a large percent of people from different places are also large consumers of different painkillersthe first aid in relieving headache. Experts say that there are different types of headache that are traced to different causes. The most popular triggers for headache are usually lifestyle-related like poor and unbalanced diet, unmanaged stress, recurrent muscle tension, and lack of regular physical activity or exercise. Aside from these, headache can also be a result of more serious disorders like brain tumor. If you are one of those who experiences headaches often, maybe its now time to extend your knowledge about the common illness and discover what you can do to totally eliminate headache in your life. KNOWING HEADACHE As defined, headache refers to the pain in any part of a persons head. Headaches are experienced when fatigue and stress, muscular tensions, dilated blood vessels, and others stimulate the delicate nerve fibers found in the head. Experts agree that headaches can be classified to migraine headaches which refer to the type of severe and recurrent headache that comes with painful throbbing on the temples, nausea and impaired vision; cluster headaches which are said to bear similarities to migraines only they are experienced in short durations and occur daily over weeks or months; and tension headaches that refers to the type of headache that can strike consistent location and result to contractions of the face, scalp, or neck muscles. Headaches are also diagnosed as vascular, muscle contraction or tension, traction and inflammatory. Experts say that vascular headache refers to the involved abnormal function of the persons vascular system or brains blood vessels while muscle contraction headache involve the tightening or tensing of the muscles in the persons face and neck. Traction and inflammatory headaches, on the other hand, are considered as symptoms of other related disorders such as infection, stroke and other serious neurological disorders. Experts say that the treatment of headache depends largely on its cause. The most common headache treatment out there is taking over the counter medicines such as analgesics like aspirin and acetaminophen. Others suggest common headache remedies like using hot or cold compresses, exercise, enough sleep, proper die, and regular exercise to avoid recurrent headaches. But, if your headache still doesnt subside after doing these simple treatments, ask your healthcare provider or physician to examine you thoroughly so proper medication is given in case your headache is a result of a more complicated disorder. Online Romance Scams: Protecting Yourself

By Michael Russell If it's too good to be true, it usually is. While the internet has provided a huge venue for people to meet potential mates around the world, it does have its share of scammers out to fool the innocent and unwary. Despite many warnings, hundreds of lonely and well-meaning online daters still fall prey to insidious scammers and heartless con artists who not only break their hearts, but break their bank accounts as well. It has been estimated that British men and women have lost more than 1 billion last year to online scams. Most of these scams come from overseas, thus detection and eventual prosecution is tricky and sometimes pointless. An online dating scam or "romance scam" happens when a scammer, either male or female, enters an online dating service or a chat room and makes contact with potential victims using invented profiles. A lot of online dating sites accept members for free and usually don't screen their members. This is fertile ground for scammers who love the anonymity and the venue to invent a profile that amazingly matches who you are looking for. These con artists usually tease you along, claiming to seek only a "true soulmate" and "real romance". They keep this front up until they are sure that you are ready to believe anything they type. The reality is, they really don't care about you - they only want your money. But how can you tell a scam from the real thing? It can be quite difficult as most experienced scammers tread very carefully with their victims. They usually invest weeks or months convincing the victim that they are in a loving cyber-relationship. A common sign of a dating scam is when the other party starts to ask for money to meet you. It comes in many forms, from asking you to shoulder their plane fare because they are "broke" or asking you to sponsor their "Visa" so they can enter your country legally. They may say that they've been "stranded" in another country and want to come home, or that they've been robbed while traveling elsewhere. Or that they actually have a "disease" or condition that they need to be in surgery for. If not surgery, they will claim that they need the cash for medicines anyway and you are the only person who can help them. When you do offer to send the money, they have no bank account where you can make a direct deposit to, so they can remain untraceable. They prefer that you send the money via money transfer agents like Western Union. Sometimes a scam is easy to see through, like your chat partner posting an extremely gorgeous picture of himself/herself. It is not unheard of to use stolen pictures as bait to lure victims. When you ask for your date's phone number or address, he/she mysteriously does not answer your phone calls and has no voicemail option. Your online date also talks more about themselves than asking about you. Usually they also don't answer a lot of your questions, or there is a delay in answering. This is likely because these scammers work on a lot of people at one time, so you are probably only one of many people he/she is chatting to and sending emails to. So how can you protect yourself? Start with never giving out any personal details to your new chatmates (home phone numbers, work address, etc). Opt for reputable dating sites and stay away from the free ones as much as you can. Try to find someone in your local area. It also does not hurt to be sceptical if someone tries to "ping" you often, even when he/she knows you are not interested. Barrage them with a lot of questions or suggest meeting them and if they act suspiciously, you are probably dating a scammer. Bit if you've already lost money, there is really not a lot you can do to recover it. The best course of action would be to report the scammer's profile to the administrators of the chat/dating site where you met him/her. Do Business Till My Return

By Joseph Perrello According to at least one of the parables of the Lord Jesus Christ, God, the Father apparently functions as a stern master who expects a generous return on His investments. In the Gospel recorded by the physician Luke - the traveling companion and biographer of the Apostle Paul - chapter nineteen records a parable known to theologians by various titles: "The Parable of the Talents," "The Unwise Servant," "The Unprofitable Servant," "The Hidden Talent," among others. Verse thirteen ends with a direct command issued by a nobleman to his servants. Soon departing on a long journey during which he was to receive a kingdom, he entrusted to the discretion of his servants the investment of various amounts of his wealth. When we understand that the Lord Jesus was portraying himself by the departing nobleman and depicting his followers as the servants, the parable requires only minimal commentary. Entrusting each of his servants with one "mina" (a gold coin worth approximately twenty dollars in our time, but in biblical times an amount somewhat equal to the wages for one hundred days of labor) the nobleman charged them, "Do business till my return (literal translation). True to their commissions, nine servants invested the money wisely, gaining a good return for their master. The tenth, though he had understood his master's command, chose to hide the money entrusted to him. Upon his return, the nobleman discovered that this servant not only neglected to invest the mina for fear of loosing it, he failed to place it at interest in even the safest, most conservative type of institution; he made not the slightest effort to fulfill his commission. He did absolutely nothing, and then refused to take responsibility for his neglect. When called to account by the nobleman, who now was a king, the servant actually implied that the fault lay with his master. "Master, here is your mina, which I have kept, put away in a handkerchief," he whimpered, "for I fear you, because you are an austere man. You collect where you did not deposit, and reap where you did not sow." His outraged master replied, "I will judge you and condemn you out of your own mouth you wicked servant! You know that I am a stern man, picking up what I do not lay down, and gathering where I do not plant! Then why did you not put my money in a bank, so that on my return I might have collected it with interest?" (Verses 22 ﷓ 23: literal translation). The master then charged those who stood by to take the mina from the neglectful servant and give it to the one who had ten minas. The essential truth in this parable is that no-gain, maintenance only Christianity ultimately will encounter the Lord's disapproval. It is a spirituality that attempts to satisfy Him with less than even the minimum of effort. If the unproductive servant really believed what he claimed to believe regarding his master's austerity, he would have endeavored all the more to please him. What he actually did was rationalize his own laziness, lack of diligence and initiative. While his fellow servants were keeping faith with their master, this servant used the master's absence as an opportunity for slothfulness; he was lazy. Though he did not confide it to them, the master, who now was a king, actually had placed his servants in a test situation. While still a nobleman, it appears he understood his kingdom would require faithful administrators; therefore, during his absence, he tested their various capabilities, dispositions and trustworthiness. After receiving his kingdom, he appointed those who were faithful during his absence to high-ranking administrative responsibilities, as he had intended to do all along. The king wisely tested them in lesser responsibilities, before promoting them to greater ones. The unprofitable servant received nothing other than his masters judgment. Our Lord in His infinite wisdom promotes only the obedient and the faithful for His work. We must listen patiently for Him and give heed to the Holy Spirits prompting, for His coming will not be secret. The Second Coming of Christ shall catch the Church and the world so unexpectedly, that there will be no time for those who are unprepared to ready themselves for it. As the lightening flashes across the sky and lights it up from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in that day . . . On that day the man who is on the roof of his house must not go down into the house to get his belongings; in the same way, the man who is out in the field must not go back to the house . . . (Luke 17:31; Todays English Version). The houses in Christs day had flat roofs that were used much as we use a veranda or a porch. So instantaneous will Christs Second Coming be that there will be no time to go from the rooftop to the inside of the house. It would be similar to our saying; the Second Coming is so instantaneous that there will be no time to run the short distance from upstairs to downstairs. The whole intent of these examples is to show that at the Second Coming of Christ if someone is not prepared, there will be no time left to prepare. The time for preparation (that which we call the "Age of Grace") will have ended. The Second Coming of Christ will occur during a business-as-usual time for the world. "Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man. People were eating, drinking, marrying and being given in marriage up to the day Noah entered the ark. Then the flood came and destroyed them all (Luke 17:26﷓28; 34﷓36; Todays English Version). Those who do not believe the teachings of the Bible shall not expect the Coming of Christ and His kingdom; however the world shall know that He came! The Kingdom of God does not come with outward show [literal translation]. There will be those who will say to you, Look, over there! But dont go out looking for it. As lightening flashes across the sky and lights it from one side to the other, so will the Son of Man be in his day (Luke 17:20﷓24; Todays English Version). As lightning is openly visible for all to see, so shall Christs Second Coming be. The world will know that He came (Luke 17:24). For the day of the Son of Man will be as lightning, which flashes and lights up the sky from one end to the other (Luke 17:28﷓31; Todays English Version). The Day of the Son of Man shall be at a time when people are enjoying their social events just as they usually do. As in the days of Noah, all social events shall continue normally - the eating, the drinking, the weddings, etc - everything seemingly unchanged; nothing appearing unusual - right up to ". . . the very day Noah went into the boat and the flood came . . . (Luke 17:26-27; Todays English Version). The Day of the Son of Man shall be at a time when humanity also is conducting business as usual. It shall be same as at the time of Sodom and Gomorrah . . . Everybody kept on eating and drinking, buying and selling, planting and building. But the day Lot left Sodom, fire and sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed (Luke 17:28; Todays English Version). So be prepared! Be productive! Be faithful! About Josprel: Josprel is an ordained evangelical minister who resides in Western New York, just across the Niagara River from Canada. Brought up in a Christian family, at an early age, he rebelled against the Lord and religion in general, finally enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. He served three years on active duty, two and one half of them in the Pacific theater as a sergeant of operating engineers. Josprel was among the first Air Force troops to enter Japan after World War Two. He was honorably discharged, placed on a ten-year inactive duty status, and returned home. Depression Help: What Can the Bible Do to Ease the Pain of Depression?

By Foras Aje There are specific quotes in the Bible that target emotional health and well being and this should come as no surprise as this Book does cover, in my opinion the whole range of humanity, including depression and its symptoms. As a source of a help for depression, like perhaps any religious book, it could work wonders for dealing with depression-of course when used wisely. These symptoms of depression, which consequently make us seek help, include feeling alone, having low-self esteem, a negative outlook on life and even in some more adverse cases, suicidal thoughts. Thankfully, there is a God who cares and His assistance in regards to a successful depression treatment remains unmatched. The key is you have to approach the methods the RIGHT WAY. Most of us turn to prayer in seeking depression help, however as Ive stated in previous articles, to get the answers you seek for your problems (which actually may lie within, by the way) will require a clear mind. This perhaps can come only from a cleaner body. Since fasting is advocated in several faiths, perhaps this is why most people in the Bible (or even the Quran) fasted before, during and after seeking Gods help. Remember drugless remedies have three limbs: Diet, exercise and Positive thinking. Ive covered the diet and exercise part, lets deal with positive thoughts for depression help. To strengthen your thoughts and emotional health with the Bible (obviously I am Christian folks, but I am sure any religious book will work), I refer you to what I label as thought conditioners that you can use for depression help in conjunction to the proper diet and exercises touched on in other articles. Depression Help: Biblical Quotes for Positive Affirmations 1. Romans 12 verse 2: Be ye Transformed by the renewing of your thoughts 2. Nahum 1 verse 7: The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble and He remembers those that trust in Him 3. Isaiah 41 verse 10: Fear not for I am with you, dont be dismayed for I am your God,
I will help you and make you strong and uphold you with my victorious Right Hand 4. Hebrews 13 verse 5: Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you. 5. Psalm 23 verse 4: Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. 6. 1 Corinthians 10:13: "No temptation (problem) has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted (tested) beyond what you are able, but with the temptation (problem) will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it." Okay, I have to stop friends, why? Because there are TONS of verses you can draw spiritual strength and help for depression from. They are best personalized to make them work effectively as depression help tools for your situation. You may choose to repeat them upon awakening or right before going to sleep to enable the thoughts to seek into your subconscious. Moreover, borrowing from my previous article on using Yoga for depression help, why not try affirming some of these words mentally in the wonderful and exhilarating corpse pose. Remember though, as powerful as these verses are, to derive the best results, ensure to include the other limbs of drug-free healing being exercise and diet in regards to a successful depression help program. So empower yourself today to a successful help for depression with biblical quotes and the right positive attitude. May happiness be yours. Why One-Sheets are Must-Have Marketing Tools

By Karen Saunders Suppose you meet someone who could hire you for your expertise and services. In the spirit of getting to know you, that decision-maker asks, "What do you speak about?" or "How do you help organizations?" or "Which groups have you worked with?" These questions become your opening to convey how you assist people and why you're the one experienced to do so. That's exactly what a marketing one-sheet does, too. To convey that you're a must-have expert, your one-sheet needs to be written and designed effectively. Answers Key Questions Your one-sheet, in effect, succinctly answers these seven questions that decision makers would ask you in person at a first meeting: 1. How would you describe your area of expertise? 2. Whom do you work with and give presentations to? 3. What are the benefits of hiring you -- for the leaders of the organization? -- for the participants in the ranks? -- for organizational progress? 4. What have you done that makes you an expert? 5. Which groups have you worked with before? 6. What did participants think of your contribution? 7. How can you be reached for more information? Well-crafted words on your one-sheet answer these questions in the form of seven corresponding must-have elements: 1. Topics/Programs 2. Target Audience 3. Benefits (especially in headlines) 4. Biography 5. Client List 6. Testimonials 7. Contact Information Adding Personality Even if you have all of these elements in place, what turns it into a stronger must-have piece that represents you? In a word: Personality. For example my client, Doug Butler, is a speaker whose message is "Cowboy Wisdom." I've built his one-sheet around the western cowboy theme. This is all part of his brand. His one-sheet features cowboy graphics with lots of showmanship. I've included a color photo of him in action with a lasso and a portrait shot of him wearing a cowboy hat with his guitar. Other graphics include these cowboy symbols: a horse, a badge, a cowboy figure wearing a hat, bandana, and chaps-even a spurred cowboy boot. Its overall look reflects the personality that participants want from him, achieving that appeal through these special graphic effects. Put Your Benefits in the Headlines On Doug's one-sheet I have this headline: "Cowboy wisdom into the 21st century." Be sure to make your headlines bold and compelling. Add Credibility with Logos In Doug's case, I included his company logo and the NSA logo to show affiliation with a group recognized by decision makers. Be sure to include your logo and tag line. Doug uses this tag line: "Forge a firm foundation with Doug's tried-and-true Cowboy Code." Through his words, themes, and graphics, Doug extends his warm personality to additional marketing pieces -- his website, business card, handout materials, and so on. Together, they create a must-have look that appeals to decision makers in organizations he wants to reach. By applying these techniques to your one-sheet and other marketing materials, you can turn your prospects into sales, and watch your revenue grow. What is Rosacea - Symptoms and Treatment Options

By Knut Holt Rosacea gives dilated blood vessels and inflammation in the skin. The skin is often also infected by bacteria. Most often the face is attacked and especially the convex surfaces of the face. Sometimes also the eyes or other body parts are affected. Rosacea may begin early, but distinct and serious symptoms usually develop as an individual gets older. WHAT SYMPTOMS ARE SEEN BY ROSACEA
The primary symptoms of rosacea are the following. All the symptoms may not be present always.
- Permanent redness in the skin. This redness can get better or worse periodically.
- Flushing or redness that comes and disappears periodically.
- Telangiectasia - This is a distinct widening of small blood vessels in an area.
- Papules - Small dome-shape spots filled with fluid, often group wise.
- Skin areas with rosasea symptoms often get infected, and the infection worsens the symptoms.
- Pustules or pimples Sometimes infection makes the papules develop into real pimples. However, if the pimples appear in a hair follicle stuffed with sebum (comedones), they are a symptom of acne, and not rosacea. Pimples from acne and rosacea may exist together.
Rosacea also implies secondary symptoms that are caused by the primary symptoms, or appear later than the primary ones.
- Burning or stinging.
- Placks - elevated red areas.
- Scaling, often associated with burning or stinging.
- Dry skin, often occurring before scaling.
- Edema coming in areas that already has been red for some time.
- Symptoms from the eyes like: Redness, itching, burning, corneal damage.
- Thickening of the skin, or lumps in the skin.
- Distended hair follicles.
- Rosacea in other places than the face. WHAT CAUSES ROSACEA
The exact causes are not known, but some people seem to inherit the tendency of developing rosacea. People that blush very often seem to develop rosacea more easily. Therefore rosacea may be caused by blood vessels that dilate too easily upon stimulation, and eventually become permanently dilated.
The following types of stimulation may cause worsening of the rosacea symptoms: heat, hot baths, strenuous exercise, sunlight, wind, very cold temperatures, hot or spicy foods and drinks, alcohol consumption, menopause, emotional stress, prolonged use of topical steroids on the skin. HOW IS ROSACEA TREATED
Traditional medicine does not have any treatment for the basic processes of rosacea, such as redness and the blood vessel extention.
Laser treatment may be used to take away allready dilated blood vessels or skin irregularities by rosacea. The laser light heats and destroys the dilated blood vessels.
When infection is a part of the disease, and papules or pustules occur, rosacea is treated with antibiotics, usually applied directly on the skin, for example metronidazole. Oral treatment may also be used by severe rosacea, for example with: Tetracycline, minocycline, erythromycin, and doxycycline.
By pimple formation, you can also use rinsing skin cleansers in the same way as by acne.
On the market you can find several alternative medicines, mostly topical creams, to treat rosacea. These often contain natural oils, herbal extracts, vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants that alleviate inflammation and stimulate skin healing. They may also contain mild antiseptic agents to treat bacterial infection. Knut Holt is an internet consultant and marketer focusing on health items. This Flu Season, Don't Mess Around with Strep Throat

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Jessica_Deets] Jessica Deets Strep throat is a bacterial infection caused by the Streptococcus pyogenes (strep) Group A bacteria. You see it more in children than in adults, but adults do get it sometimes. This flu season may turn out to be one of the worst seasons for strep throat. With strep throat, you'll see a fever and sore throat pain, usually with a headache (but not always) and sometimes a stomach ache. There might be swollen, tender glands in the neck, or sores around the nose. You might also see a loss in appetite and tired looking eyes. Scarlet fever is actually strep combined with a rash, and there is also the sore throat along with some general symptoms, such as fatigue, and a red rash and skin blotches on the body (that feel like a rough sandpaper). If left untreated for one to two weeks, it can turn into rheumatic fever. We normally encourage natural cures, such as oil of oregano, orange juice, vitamin C, colloidal silver, pau d' arco, garlic, and other types of natural cures you can find at the health food store. However, this flu season I did some checking around and found that (according to the opinion of my source) this latest strep is more severe and can hit a person really quickly... and that antibiotics are necessary in this instance. This week my son got a sore throat one night. We just thought it was a cold... although his tongue was white and had a texture like a strawberry. We got him taking vitamin C and garlic caps. The next day his eyes looked really tired, he was lethargic and he had bumps on his chest and stomach. We thought the bumps were from laying directly on the carpet (that's what it looked like). We decided to take him to the doctor and the doctor swabbed his throat and the results came back as strep and his rash was scarlet fever. Just the mention of scarlet fever made us cringe, then the doctor said it just means a combination of strep throat and rash. My son is allergic to penicillin, so the doctor prescribed Erythromycin. My son took his first dose and within about 6 hours, most of the rash was gone and he was feeling lots better. I heard it's common for the strep symptoms to be relieved very quickly when first taking the antibiotics, although it's very important to finish the entire course of antibiotics that the doctor prescribes. If the doctor wants you to take the antibiotics for 10 days, even if you feel better after a day or two, don't stop the antibiotics. Keep taking them, and finish them according to the doctor's instructions. Although we like to recommend the natural cures, this is the one season that if a person gets these strep symptoms they should see the doctor soon. If antibiotics are recommended, get them and take them all. You'll get very fast relief with antibiotics even as soon as a half day, and you'll minimize the risk of scarlet fever and rheumatic fever. Teaching Children in Love

By Katheryn Hoban Children are a joy and an incredible gift. If you teach with
respect and love they will act in kind. See the beauty and the
gentleness of children and go out of your way to engage a child
or to take a few minutes to play with them and encourage them.
Children are hungry to please you; hungry to be nurtured and to
have someone genuinely like them. Respond to children and
try to see things from their perspectives. Take the time with
each one to let her/him know that somehow things will work out,
and that you can relate to what they are going through. With
each encounter, they know that you love them and care greatly for them. Let them see their own beauty. Encourage their self-
esteem, their own imagination, ideas, and thoughts about some-
thing. If the ideas that they have are erroneous, gently guide
with simple images and visuals for them to understand, to the
correct information. If their thoughts are fearful lead them to a place that is not frightening for them. You can teach by example with patience, kindness and gentleness.
A child responds to this type of interaction more so than
violence, and aggression. Yet so many parents cannot understand
their child. Children do understand a lot, but more than that
they feel gentleness and love, just the same way that they
feel a parent or adult's rejection, and disappointment of them.
Suppressed and isolated young children become lonely and
depressed teenagers. An unruly teenager is just a young child
acting out. They have built up some massive walls around them-
selves for protection. Walls don't come down with aggression but
with love, and patience. You have to find what their interests
are, you have to teach them and interact with them with respect,
kindness, and sometimes you have to modify your language to reach them. If they are very tough you have to be firm. You can't lose their respect. It's a game of great proportion. Young children and teenagers need tools; to cope with situations
that they find themselves in, with their emotions, to learn how
to interact, and to grow spiritually and emotionally. If they
don't trust you or can't relate to you, they won't
receive anything from you. You can't impart any wisdom to them. The key is getting their attention, their respect, their
curiosity, and getting past their defenses and ego, in a way that catches them off guard, but they still feel safe. Honesty: As much as possible try to speak clearly and very
honestly with each of them. If you take your time and choose
the right words that they will understand what is being said, and they will be able to process it emotionally with your support and presence. If you don't know something, don't lie. Be
straight with them. Don't pretend to be perfect because
none of us are. Compassion: Everyone needs compassion and kindness and young
children and adolescents are no exception. They need to see
examples of compassion and you are the one to give them that new
perspective. Be compassionate with them and the people that you
encounter, and they will emulate that behavior. Show them what
it is to be compassionate and caring, and involve them as often and as much as possible. Affirmations: I teach with and use affirmations a lot. They
are wonderful resources for changing thoughts, and behaviors,
getting through hard situations, and building coping skills.
Affirmations are simple to create, or to build on existing ones
by adding a few words or phrases related to you, the child or
the situation. "I'm going to get through this."
"This too shall pass." "One day, I'll be able to make all my own
decisions. I'm going to do exactly what I want."
"I don't believe my parents negative words or thoughts about
me. They are not true. I don't receive them." "I can do
this." Self-Discovery: Children need to discover things for themselves.
Even if you think that they may get hurt or that something is a
little dangerous, you need to allow them to explore on their own.It is possible to talk to little children about something that is dangerous without frightening them with graphic descriptions or yanking them away without an explanation. You can make them understand in ways that are not intimidating to them but that they can still process the information in their way. You can help them be fearless by not becoming overly scared yourself. Of course if they are in immediate danger, pull them from harm, but talk to them about it, so they will understand for the next time. A friend and her daughter were visiting me at my apartment.
In the front entrance of the building there is a high stoop,
about one foot high in an area. The little girl assessed the
place, and decided to jump. The way she had jumped caused her
to fall forward and down right on her face. Once I knew that she
was okay, I started to quietly speak to the little girl about her landing, so that she could do it better the next time. Her mother, freaked out, and was screaming at me for letting her, picked up her daughter, and wiped away the blood, and was putting out all sorts of negative thoughts and creating more fear in her daughter. My friend left us for a moment, and I talked to the little girl.
"You know, I saw what you had tried to do, You were very brave,
I know that you got a little scared, but it was a good try, next
time you have to make sure that you clear the wall with your feet, and get your feet underneath you, so that you land on your feet." She looked at me with peaceful understanding, and a new aware-
ness. She knew that I was not upset at her for trying something
new, and I was giving her a tool so that she would not get hurt
again when she tried it after that. Right there I knew she got it. Managing thoughts: To cope, children also need to know how to
manage their thoughts. Let them know that by changing their
focus, from something that is causing stress or discomfort to
something that is joyful, they will immediately feel better. If
a task is overwhelming to them, help them to break it down into
smaller units. Just because they have a thought doesn't mean
that the thought can't be changed or adjusted. Open communication: Children feel most comfortable when they can
talk about what they are feeling or thinking about any subject.
Nothing should be off limits, they should be able to ask ques-
tions, and get solid answers, they should be able to tell you anything without punishment, and let you know about something
that is happening to them, without being afraid, or disturbed that you will be upset with them or that you will not love them.
Sometimes the time and place for discussion is not appropriate,
but as soon as you are able, take them to a safe and quiet place
and let them talk. Let them know that you are going to listen to
them fully at that time. Make a commitment and do so. Respect: You teach respect to children by example. If you don't
want to be laughed at for your thoughts or your actions, don't
laugh at them and don't mock them, be careful of your words.
Don't call them stupid, an idiot, or unintelligent. Remember
they are just a reflection of what they were taught, and what they learned. If you want a child to listen to you, you have to
listen to her ideas as well. Stand up for children when they are
being mistreated or bullied. That action will really make an
impact in their psyche. It tells them that they are worthy.
Believe them when they tell you something. Don't dismiss a
child that tells you something that an adult did or is doing to
them. Don't call them liars. Just because an adult said some-
thing about them or told you that the child did something, don't
believe the adult over your child without getting the child's
side of the story. Also in that situation, don't put the child
on the spot where they appear to challenge the adult. Take them
to a safe place or a little away from the confrontation and ask
them, without judgment, and so they will not have any fear of
retribution. Have respect for their ideas. Just because you
think a certain way, doesn't mean that the child thinks exactly
like you. Give them a chance to have their own ideas, and let
them tell you what is important to them or how they feel. Access to wisdom: At an early age children can learn to trust
themselves if they are taught to trust themselves. If you speak
with children and reflect back to them what is going on, I know
that they can access their own feelings, and their own wisdom.
An easy question to reflect back to them might be "How do you
feel?" "Does it feel nice inside your belly or your
chest?" Does it make you feel happy when you think about this? Help them to begin to trust their feeling and their instincts. They will know that you can be trusted and that you can also trust them, and they can trust themselves. Children need time to process and understand what is going on around them. But they need your confidence in them to begin to evaluate things for themselves.
Let them know that it is okay for them to have their own opinions and that they can find the answer inside of themselves too. Accessing inner wisdom is also something that is taught by
example. They follow your behaviors of trusting yourself too.
They will also emulate your behaviors of dealing with stress,
and your take on life. If you are bad-mouthing every person and
every situation, children will pick up on this as well. If your
built in belief system tells you that everyone is out to get you
and people are predominately bad, children will get that with
every fiber of their being. So be careful of what it is that
you are transmitting to your children. Balance: is very important for children and teenagers. You need
to show them how to balance priorities, and their playtime.
Take the time to show them how to do things well and why? Lead
with examples of your own life. Balance your own time with
them. Balance your work and off time. Encourage them to rest
and take needed breaks sometimes. You do the same.
If you teach children with love they will respond with tremendous love, affection, attention, and honor. Call them honorable too. These little adults in the making will grow according to how you
nurture and care for them. So start having a relationship now
with them and watch them develop into loving beings. Yoga Kat--aka Katheryn Hoban is a yoga teacher with twelve years experience. Harness the Sales Power of Niche Marketing

By Joel Sussman The key to attracting new customers to your business, whether online or off, lies in understanding a few simple things about how the brain works. Usually at an unconscious level, people are constantly scanning their environment to separate the relevant from the irrelevant, the safe from the potentially hazardous, the desirable from the unappealing. The major challenge for the small business marketer is discover what motivates their target audience, and then to speak as directly as possible to those fears, desires, goals, priorities, and needs. But it Worked in the Movies Youre only kidding yourself if you think you can be all things to all people. That insidious form of self deception falls in the same category as If you build it, they will come. Woody Allen is quoted as saying that Eighty percent of success is showing up, but bear in mind that comedy (and sometimes drama) is often based on exaggeration. Showing up -- which can range from creating an Internet presence to attending networking meetings -- is a good start, but it generally wont get you too far unless you throw in a dash of originality, competitiveness, and a strategic plan of action. Since people are constantly looking for specialized information, services, and products, a strategy worth pursuing is to devote at least 50% of your marketing efforts to reaching niche markets. Granted, marketing is no more of a one size fits all endeavor than anything else, but what isnt going to change is the fact that people are generally drawn to things that are customized, personalized, or otherwise geared to their personal preferences. Are You Talking to Me? Considering that your prospective clients and customers are continually scanning the Internet, the media, and their environment for information thats relevant to them, why not tip the scales in your favor by tailoring your marketing message directly to the different niche markets youre trying to reach? Whether its senior citizens, new homeowners, parents to be, recent graduates, newlyweds, or frustrated job hunters, capturing peoples attention can sometimes be as simple as recognizing them as individuals or as a member of a specific demographic group. For example, have you ever inadvertently ignored someone who was saying to you excuse me or you dropped something; but if they called you by your name, youd immediately snap out of your haze and pay attention. Again, its just a matter of breaking through peoples filtering systems and being noticed. Thats often the number one step to effectively marketing your products, your services, or yourself. Actually, Id break that down into three parts: get noticed, connect with your prospect, and put them in a receptive state of mind. If you convey the impression, right off the bat, that your service or product is tailor made for their needs, wants, or specific situation, then you may have fulfilled all three requirements in one fell swoop. Once youve clearly and compellingly presented your case for making your prospects life easier, more secure, healthier, more comfortable, prosperous, convenient, happier, or more problem free, your remaining challenge is to anticipate objections, lower sales resistance, and inject your offer with a subtle, yet perceptible sense of urgency. If youve painted a vivid, benefits-filled picture of your service or product, their motivation to experience those advantages will help you convert them from a prospect to a customer. Online Dating Services Advantages

By Erick Shipmon Tired of the cattle call down at the local bar? Are those supposed happy hours enough to make you need to go into therapy? Have you all but given up on finding anyone to date? Then you, my friend, are ready to sign up for an online dating service membership. Not only does an online dating service offer you the chance to connect with lots of singles that you wouldnt mind being seen in public with, but that you might also someday be willing to take home to meet Mom. An online dating service definitely expands your dating options and for a fraction of what youre paying for all those drinks and dry cleaning bills from all those drinks spilled on you costs. If that isnt reason enough to move your mouse over to the sign up page of an online dating service, then it may help that online dating services provide you with the opportunity to search for dates anonymously. You dont have to post a picture of yourself or provide any personal information. This lets you meet people in a totally safe way and puts you in charge of when, and if, you divulge your identity. You can get to know someone first, before deciding whether to show off your gorgeous self or give them your real name. And now, lets talk choices. Unless youre in a large city where there are lots of cool people just like you or that youd be interested in going out with, your choices for dates may just be a little on the low side. It may be so bad that youre in the negative figures when it comes to dating choices. Well, you wont have that problem when youre a member of an online dating site. Plus youre not stuck with people just in your area, but you have choices all over the world, people who are looking for long-lasting relationships, just like you. An online dating service also allows you to be totally secure while making your connections. If anyone ever starts to harass you, make you uncomfortable, or heaven forbid, threatens you, you can report them to the online dating service and likely that persons membership will be revoked. At the very least, the dating service will block that person from contacting you. If only you could do that with that cretin you knew back in the sixth grade who just will not stop calling you! Erick Shipmon has been an online marketer since 1997. Parting Company: Management Consultant Defines 'Creative Differences'

By Dr. Gary S. Goodman Time and again youve read articles and seen news stories about people in the entertainment industry that part company over, what are termed, creative differences. Have you ever stopped to wonder: (1) What are they? (2) And do they only happen in show business? Creative differences can be disagreements about nearly anything. An actor may not like certain lines in a script and refuse to carry on with a rehearsal until theyre modified. The director thinks the script is sacred, getting no disagreement from the writer. So, theres a standoff. Typically, this is what comes to mind when we think about creative differences. They pertain to issues of taste, aesthetics, artistic preference, and judgment. But sometimes, beneath them, are power issues. That actor might be testing his clout having just come from a successful run of a play. If the director and writer yield, it tells him hes hot, or at least influential or persuasive. If they resist, he learns something he didnt want to know about his status, while generating acrimony. Another part of the iceberg that goes by the name, creative differences, is professional jealousy. That actor may secretly be competing with writers, believing they are the puppet-masters. Creative differences can crop up anywhere, but outside of the entertainment business theyre seen differently. The writer of a training program at that huge mortgage company who doesnt want her product altered is probably seen as something other than a team player, as self-absorbed, and possibly as insubordinate. She isnt thought of as creative, at all, but rather as a white collar production worker. Her assembly line doesnt consist of widgets but of words and slides and workbooks. So, when she resists collaboration, shes out of line, and her preferences are given very little sway over decisions. When she hunts for that next position and they ask why she left the prior one, shell be unlikely to use the phrase, creative differences. But in showbiz, everyone would hear that, nod their heads, and understand exactly what shes talking about. And it wouldnt prevent her from qualifying for that next writing job! Dr. Gary S. Goodman is the best-selling author of 12 books, over 600 articles, and the creator of numerous audio and video training programs, including "The Law of Large Numbers: How To Make Success Inevitable," published by Nightingale-Conant-a favorite among salespeople and entrepreneurs. The Knowledge Of Good And Evil - Fit For God Alone

By Rotich Wilson The knowledge of good and evil is forever fit for God alone. This is simply because when God created man in his own image and likeness, he did not make an exact clone of himself, and neither did he replicate himself. He did not make man with all the powers, characteristics, abilities, and attributes of God. Some of these attributes of God that lack in man are omniscience, omnipotence and omnipresence. These qualities are the ones that God reserved for himself and they are the ones that Satan cheated man to envy. As stated earlier, to be wise in the knowledge of good and evil means to be able to decide independently ones course of life. God excels in this because first, He is omniscient (Psalms 147:5, I John 3:20). He has perfect and eternal knowledge of everything that has been or will ever be. He knows excellent ways of achieving his desired goals. He can make excellent decisions that are free from failure (Job 42:2). In the contrary man has tried many plans but has suffered failures because his knowledge is limited. Secondly, God is omnipotent. He has absolute ability to do whatever he wills. God has the ability to create everything from nothing. The angel Gabriel told Mary that nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37). God eventually proved to be omnipotent by enabling the Virgin Mary to conceive and deliver the baby boy Jesus Christ. Even though God has absolute power to do everything that he wills, it is impossible for him to lie (Hebrews 6:18). This does not mean that God is devoid of potency to lie. But it is because God is unchangeable. Whatever he says is true and his promises shall come to pass. In one of the Old Testament Bible stories (I Kings 21:1ff), Naboth refused to give King Ahab his vineyard. As an immediate effect of that, Jezebel, the Kings wicked wife, wrote letters in the Kings name and seal and she sent them to the elders and nobles of Naboths city, instructing them to fast and stone Naboth. She lied that Naboth had cursed both God and King Ahab. Naboth was indeed stoned to death as a result of that lie. God was not pleased with that lie that killed Naboth. Owing to the biblical fact that our God is so just that he does revenge on behalf of the oppressed, He sat on his throne with all the hosts of heaven standing around him on his right and left. He asked this question: Who will entice Ahab into attacking Ramoth Gilead and going to his death there? There were some suggestions from among the hosts of heaven. But God took the suggestions of one spirit who came before the Lord and said that he would entice Ahab by becoming a lying spirit on the mouths of all Ahabs prophets. God gave an assurance of success to that lying spirit. And indeed that spirit accomplished Gods will. This is a stumbling surprise to many average Christians who do not want to hear that God could really put a lying spirit in the mouths of all the prophets of King Ahab. Basing on the above biblical story, it is really true that God uses lying spirits to lie when lying is necessary to accomplish his plans. This is especially necessary when God is punishing or revenging on behalf of his righteous servant or follower. Prophet Habakkuk complained to God because he could not understand why God used a wicked nation to punish the nation of Israel for their sin (Habakkuk 1:12-20). But from Gods long answer, he learnt that God is always so perfect, so just that all the earth should be silent before him. King Ahab killed Naboth by lying and God revenged by killing him through the lying spirit. But at the end of the day, God was not accountable for that lie because it is impossible fro God to lie. It is the lying spirit who took the credit for lying. Therefore God is omnipotent because all his plans do succeed perfectly. He does everything without compromising or contradicting himself. Whatever God does is right, good, and just, just because it is him who has done it. God is perfectly armed with a host of both good and evil spirits whom he sends to accomplish his plans. He sends them to control the affairs of man in this present world. Whenever a man does well, God sends him the Holy Spirit who is mans comforter and counselor (John 15:26). And the same Sovereign God will send an injurious or evil spirit to the person who does detestable deeds. This happened in the life of King Saul and it is recorded that, Now the spirit of the Lord had departed from Saul and an evil spirit from the Lord tormented him (I Samuel 16:14). Note that both the good and evil spirits that came to King Saul were from the Lord. As it is true with all men and women of all generations, when King Saul walked with God he received the Holy Spirit but when he separated himself from God through disobedience then God gave him an injurious spirit that tormented him to death. God is omnipotent in the sense that He has perfect control over all the heavenly and earthly, visible and invisible thrones or powers or rulers or authorities because he created and sustains them all (Colossians 1:16). Everything happens under the leadership and permission of God. Although Satan is powerful and subtle, he is not at all an independent rival of God but he operates under Gods permission (Job 1:12, 2:6, Luke 22;31). No one can be fully independent from God. Even though Satan and sinful men and women are trying to behave as though they can succeed in their plans by living independently from God, then God proves them wrong by making them to come to him for permission and power. For example, when Satan was defeated to destroy the faith of Job, he sought for Gods help and God permitted him to touch the body but not the life of Job. When Satan was unable to destroy the faiths of the eleven apostles of Christ, he asked Gods permission but because Christ knew that Satan was permitted to succeed temporarily, he prayed for Simon Peter so that he could strengthen the other disciples later. Thirdly, God is omnipresent, (Psalms 139:7-12). He is fully present everywhere at the same time and everything is at His immediate presence forever. He never struggles to see whatever happens in the heavens or on the earth. He does not rely on satellites, spacecrafts, telescopes, microscopes, scanning machines, or even the Internet for pieces of information. No object, distance or time can hinder His sight. God sees all eternity at the same time. For several centuries, man has been desperately struggling to become omnipresent. His God-given wisdom has enabled him to invent speeding automobiles, spacecrafts and ships which can enable him to go round and about the earth and other planets within the shortest time possible. Although those machines are sometimes lethal to human lives, man feels better off when he is mobile than when he is confined to one place. At his best, man can run around the world with whatever speed but he cannot be everywhere at the same time. Indeed man can run but he cannot hide from God. Satan also is not omnipresent but he is an active athlete who roams through the earth and goes back and forth as he influences sinful people through his angels. Therefore both Satan and man are not entitled to the knowledge of good and evil because as clearly stated earlier, the independence that accompanies the knowledge of good and evil is dangerous to the existence of any other living being except God alone.
